Michael Ballard

Navigating Your Finances God's Way

Michael and his wife Kathleen took the course in 1992 when they had overwhelming debt and no hope of living life without it. As they applied the Godly principles taught in this course to their lives, they were able to pay off their credit card debt, pay off their mortgage early, and educate their children without taking on any college debt. They now have the opportunity to give generously to the needs of others. Michael has been teaching this course since 1995 and was a part of the Charlotte team that helped initiate this course in numerous Charlotte churches over the years.

Michael will be teaching the course "Navigating Your Finances God's Way."

One of the most often asked questions I receive today is this one: Are we in the end times? More and more people are wondering if the end of all times is near. For four weeks, I’ll explore the biblical perspective on the end times. And if we are indeed in the end times, how should we be living now?

Each class will conclude with a time for Q&A.

Session Dates: October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th @ 6:30PM

What does it mean to be an authentic Christian? We will spend four weeks learning how much God loves us and how we can have confidence in His plan for our lives. We will take a close look at Jesus — who He is and why He is important. Finding peace with God. Sharing what we believe with others. These are the foundational truths of our faith. The format will be large group instruction and discussion as we dig through God’s Word together.

Week 1 - Why Jesus is the Real Deal
Week 2 - How Peace with God is Possible
Week 3 - Giving the Gift of Your Faith
Week 4 - Q and A

Session Dates: October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th @ 6:30PM

The Bible is full of bold promises about the power of prayer. But do you ever wonder if your prayers are even working? Whether you’re new to prayer or have been praying for years, this class will give you practical ways to take your prayer life to the next level.

Based on her book, Sometimes He Whispers, Sometimes He Roars: Learning to Hear the Voice of God, Marilynn Chadwick will share amazing stories of answered prayer in her own life - and the lives of others.

This four-week class is suitable for both men and women of all ages and stages. Come experience the joy of seeing God at work!

Session Dates: October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th @ 6:30PM

Navigating Your Finances God's Way by Howard Dayton is a seven-week group Bible Study designed to teach you God's perspective on how to manage your finances, and provide practical applications to achieve the goal of being debt-free.

The first section, "God's Part and Our Part," is the most important part of the course because how we view God determines how we live. Other topics we will cover include: Debt; Honesty; Godly Counsel; Generosity; Work; How to Train Your Children; Savings and Investments; and Preparing for Eternity.

There will be homework requirements each week in preparation for the class, which include reading Bible passages and answering questions in your own personal workbook as well as memorizing a verse of Scripture.

We strongly recommend that couples take this class together. Changing your lifestyle to conform to God's biblical teaching works best when both members are committed to the same goals.

Session Dates: October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th; November 2nd, 9th and 16th @ 6:30PM

Why it matters

"Jesus tells us to make disciples. A disciple is someone who wants to know God and learn from Him. We want you to know how much God loves you and we are committed to help you grow spiritually. Come join us.”

- John Kasay

Your faith in Jesus is more than just attending church on Sunday. It is an active, growing, deepening journey of discipleship. And we want to give you the tools to help you thrive.
