Navigating Your Finances God's Way

Michael and his wife Kathleen took the course in 1992 when they had overwhelming debt and no hope of living life without it. As they applied the Godly principles taught in this course to their lives, they were able to pay off their credit card debt, pay off their mortgage early, and educate their children without taking on any college debt. They now have the opportunity to give generously to the needs of others. Michael has been teaching this course since 1995 and was a part of the Charlotte team that helped initiate this course in numerous Charlotte churches over the years.

Michael will be teaching the course "Navigating Your Finances God's Way."

The Bible's Authority

During this 4-week course, we will look at why Jesus’s followers can have absolute confidence in the Bible’s authority and our need to be under it. We will examine the Bible’s amazing unity, archaeological evidence, and manuscript support.

On week 4, world renowned Christian apologist Frank Turek will cover where in the Bible followers of Jesus can turn in answering different cultural issues, in addition to a Q&A session.

Course 2

Into the Mind of the Master: Exploring the Brilliance of Yeshua

Many of us know Jesus as our Savior, God’s one and only Son. We just celebrated His birth at Christmas, right? But, how many of us realize He was a Jewish Rabbi with a truly brilliant mind – unparalleled in all of human history?

In our class, we will explore how His Jewish roots are the basis for the fruit we bear in our lives today as Christians.

Come join us as we discover the genius of Jesus and observe how wise men and women still seek Him.

Session Dates:

February 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th at 6:30p

Course 3

Navigating Your Finances God's Way

Navigating Your Finances God's Way by Howard Dayton is a seven-week group Bible Study designed to teach you God's perspective on how to manage your finances, and provide practical applications to achieve the goal of being debt-free.

The first section, "God's Part and Our Part," is the most important part of the course because how we view God determines how we live. Other topics we will cover include: Debt; Honesty; Godly Counsel; Generosity; Work; How to Train Your Children; Savings and Investments; and Preparing for Eternity.

There will be homework requirements each week in preparation for the class, which include reading Bible passages and answering questions in your own personal workbook as well as memorizing a verse of Scripture.

We strongly recommend that couples take this class together. Changing your lifestyle to conform to God's biblical teaching works best when both members are committed to the same goals.

Surrounded: What the Bible Says (and Doesn't Say) About Angels

According to a recent survey, over 80% of Americans believe in angels - even those who claim to be non-religious! How are we as Christians to understand these supernatural beings?

Angels are mentioned over 300 times in the Bible. Scripture refers to angels as “ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation” (Hebrews 1:14).

Does this mean you have a guardian angel? What is the purpose of God’s angel armies? Is it possible you may have encountered an angel?

We’ll explore these and other questions in this four-week study. Be sure to bring your favorite Bible and a notebook. We look forward to studying God’s Word together!

Session Dates:

February 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th at 6:30p

Course 5

Why it matters

- John Kasay

Your faith in Jesus is more than just attending church on Sunday. It is an active, growing, deepening journey of discipleship. And we want to give you the tools to help you thrive.
