Navigating Your Finances God's Way

Michael Ballard

Navigating Your Finances God's Way

Michael and his wife Kathleen took the course in 1992 when they had overwhelming debt and no hope of living life without it. As they applied the Godly principles taught in this course to their lives, they were able to pay off their credit card debt, pay off their mortgage early, and educate their children without taking on any college debt. They now have the opportunity to give generously to the needs of others. Michael has been teaching this course since 1995 and was a part of the Charlotte team that helped initiate this course in numerous Charlotte churches over the years.

One of the most often asked questions I receive today is this one: Are we in the end times? More and more people are wondering if the end of all times is near. For four weeks, I’ll explore the biblical perspective on the end times. And if we are indeed in the end times, how should we be living now?

Attendance expectations: Consistent weekly attendance is encouraged.

Session Dates: Feb 16th, Feb 23rd, March 2nd, March 9th.  Session Time: 7:00p

What does it mean to be an authentic Christian? We will spend four weeks learning how much God loves us and how we can have confidence in His plan for our lives. We will take a close look at Jesus - who He is and why He is important. Finding peace with God. Sharing what we believe with others. These are the foundational truths of our faith. The format will be large group instruction and discussion as we dig through God’s Word together.

Feb. 2021 session will be an ALL VIRTUAL course via Zoom.

Navigating Your Finances God's Way by Howard Dayton is a seven-week group Bible study designed to teach you God's perspective on how to manage your finances, and provide practical applications to achieve the goal of being debt-free.

The first section, "God's Part and Our Part," is the most important part of the course because how we view God determines how we live. Other topics we will cover include: Debt; Honesty; Godly Counsel; Generosity; Work; How to Train Your Children; Savings and Investments; and Preparing for Eternity.

There will be homework requirements each week in preparation for the class, which will include reading Bible passages and answering questions in your own personal workbook as well as memorizing a verse of Scripture.

We strongly recommend that couples take this class together. Changing your lifestyle to conform to God's biblical teaching works best when both members are committed to the same goals.

Attendance expectations: Consistent weekly attendance is highly recommended.

Session Dates: February: 16th, 23rd. March: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th. Session Time: 6:30p

Every parent wants to be a better parent. Parents are the greatest influence in the life of their child, and this is a God-given responsibility that every parent wants to do well. In this study, we will discuss ten ways to be an exceptional parent in a quick-fix world. What we do every day and every week matters, and with God’s help we can be intentional about pouring into the lives of our children.

Why it matters

"Jesus tells us to make disciples. A disciple is someone who wants to know God and learn from Him. We want you to know how much God loves you and we are committed to help you grow spiritually. Come join us.”

- John Kasay

Your faith in Jesus is more than just attending church on Sunday. It is an active, growing, deepening journey of discipleship. And we want to give you the tools to help you thrive.
